European Goldfields strives to be a resource company of the future, a forward-thinking business led by clear sustainable principles which meet or exceed the highest international standards. By communicating clear values and demonstrating modern responsible practices in our sector, we hope to benefit from greater access to opportunities for profitable growth. Our enduring success will be determined by our long-term commitment to these values.

We recognise our responsibility to contribute to the long-term sustainability of the communities we work within and the importance of fostering strong relationships of mutual trust and integrity through our core values of accountability and transparency, thus earning our social licence to operate.

In all our operations from exploration through to development, production and closure, we endeavour to minimise any negative impacts on the environment by ensuring that we not only comply with local environmental regulation and industry best practice but also the standards set out by the World Bank in its 'Environmental, Health & Safety Guidelines for the Mining Industry'. For example, at our exploration sites we have demonstrated a commitment to the E3 Plus framework of responsible exploration. By integrating this ethos from the earliest stages of our work we can maintain our positive reputation and continue to access lands for exploration in order to make the discoveries of the future and ensure long term growth.

Over the last six months we have made significant investments in our people, developing and broadening our skills base with the appointment of a number of key new roles including a Group Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Manager. The safety of our team remains paramount and with our guiding principle that all injuries are preventable we continue to aim for the highest standards in providing healthy, safe and secure working environments.

As European Goldfields looks to the future we seek to lead by example, setting and following high standards to deliver the next phase of growth responsibly.
